Requirements

To work with us, you’ll need:

  • A valid Right to Work in the UK

  • An enhanced DBS check (we can help you apply)

  • Two professional references

  • For nursing roles: current NMC registration

Your responsibilities as a carer

Whether you’re considering a role in Hourly Care or one of our Live-in Carer positions, your responsibilities will focus on enhancing the lives of our clients with care that’s personal, respectful and empowering.

Here’s what you can expect as part of your role at Silverstem:

Companionship and Emotional Support

Being a friendly, reassuring presence. You'll engage in meaningful conversation, share moments of joy, and take part in the activities that bring them happiness.

Personal Care Support

Assisting clients with daily essentials such as dressing, toileting, washing and grooming always delivered with dignity and respect.

Meal Preparation

Preparing nutritious, appetising meals tailored to each client’s dietary needs, preferences and cultural background.

Medication Reminders

Helping clients stay on top of their medication routines with gentle reminders and support, ensuring safety and wellbeing.

Mobility Assistance

Supporting clients to move safely in and around their homes, helping to prevent falls and encouraging independence whenever possible.

Light Housekeeping

Keeping the client's home clean and comfortable, including laundry and light cleaning, so they can relax.
